Infrared Heat Therapy

Infrared saunas use infrared heaters to emit light that is absorbed by the skin, generating heat. Unlike traditional saunas that heat the air around you, infrared saunas heat your body directly. This can lead to a deeper sweat at lower temperatures, which some people find more comfortable.

Infrared Heat Therapy

Halotherapy / Salt Therapy

Halotherapy, also called dry salt therapy, offers natural support for skin health and respiratory wellness. At our Maryland clinic, halotherapy sessions use a halogenerator that grinds medical-grade salt into fine particles and releases them into the sauna cabin. As the salt fills the air, you may notice its taste, which is completely normal. When you breathe it in, the salt reduces nasal inflammation and absorbs allergens or irritants that often cause breathing issues. With antibacterial properties, salt also helps detoxify the respiratory system. Because of these combined benefits, halotherapy in Maryland provides meaningful relief for people with asthma, allergies, or chronic respiratory concerns.

The same antibacterial qualities make dry salt therapy for skin and breathing especially effective for overall wellness. Salt therapy helps prevent infection, encourages faster healing of irritated or damaged skin, and gently exfoliates during each session. This natural exfoliation clears away dead cells, unclogs pores, and refreshes the skin’s surface. As a result, your skin looks healthier and feels smoother. With regular visits, dry salt therapy can ease conditions such as eczema or psoriasis while also slowing visible signs of aging.

Along with these two therapies, our sauna also has an attached LED red light, which can be added to your treatment at no extra cost. LED red light therapy is FDA-cleared for treatment of pain disorders and skin conditions, taking your infrared salt sauna session to the next level. Simply let us know that you
would like to use the light during your session and we will turn it on for you.

Our sauna has chromotherapy and bluetooth capabilities, allowing you to truly personalize your session to fit your needs.

Sauna Session Walk-Thru

Once you arrive, one of our client coordinators will direct you to our Salt Room. We will have 3 towels placed out for you: one gray towel to cover up with after undressing, and 2 white towels. One of these white towels should be used for sitting on during the session. Once undressed and the towel is on, you may relax in the sauna for your allotted amount of time. The door to the sauna is not locked, so you may open the door at any point if you are feeling uncomfortable.

Once the session is over, place your towels in the laundry basket. Feel free to use the complimentary body wipes that are placed near the exit to clean off prior to departure. For infrared heat therapy, we recommend 30-45 minutes for a session, at a heat of 120-135 degrees F. For dry salt therapy, we recommend 20 minutes for a session. Dry salt therapy works best at a heat of 88-104 degrees F, but can be done without heat if preferred.

Appointments can be scheduled for just salt therapy, just infrared heat therapy, or both salt and infrared heat therapy. Our sauna can accommodate up to 2 people at a time, so feel free to schedule with a friend or spouse.
